Argor-Heraeus developed Kinebar technology in 1993 along with UBS, or Union Bank of Switzerland. UBS acquired Argor-Heraeus in 1973, just two decades after its founding. Kinebar technology uses a holographic kinegram that is embossed onto the substrate surface of the reverse side of gold bars. The embossing element changes visual colors and textures when the angle of viewing changes.

All of these 1 Gram Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bars are available to purchase in brand-new condition. The bars are housed inside of individually-sealed plastic blisterpacks. These blisterpacks include a capsule space for the 1 Gram gold bar and comes with an included assay card. That assay card features the unique serial number as printed on the bar, as well as the weight, metal content, and purity. Each card also has the signature of a certified assayer.

For the obverse design field of the 1 Gram Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bar, the Argor-Heraeus logo is featured at the top of the design element. All inscriptions and designs on this side are arranged vertically down the face of the bar with the nation of issue, weight, metal content, and purity inscribed below. The bottom of the bar features the assayers mark and serial number.

In the reverse design element of the 1 Gram Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bars are another Argor logo and the kinegram embossment. This embossed element is applied to classic minted gold ingots from Argor-Heraeus to create unique items from the mint.

Argor-Heraeus was founded in 1951 as Argor SA. The company was originally located in Chiasso, Switzerland, but following its acquisition by UBS and a later joint venture with the German Heraeus Group the company established a new headquarters in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
