Description
The American Gold Eagle Coins are available in four weights each year in the BU range, with the 1/10 oz gold coin the smallest of those coins. As with all of the American Gold Eagles, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle will be getting a new reverse design later in 2021 to mark the 35th anniversary of the series.

The US Mint has announced an upcoming change to the reverse design of the American Gold Eagle, as well as the American Silver Eagle. This represents the first-ever change to the designs of these major bullion coins. By mid-2021, the US Mint will have the new designs ready for production, but the 2021 release year will start with versions of both coins issued using the long-running design combinations.
The obverse side of 2021 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins includes a depiction of Lady Liberty. This front-facing portrait shows her entire figure as she walks confidently forward, her hair and robe blowing in the breeze. Her right-hand holds out a torch to light the way as her left-hand carries a large olive branch. You will notice rays of sunshine framing her figure from behind as a ring of 50 stars encircles her figure.
On the reverse face of 2021 American Gold Eagle Coins is the family of American bald eagles. In the final issue of this design on the BU coins, the US Mint depicts the male eagle flying over the nest with a female and hatchling in the nest. This image was created exclusively for this gold coin series in 1986 by Miley Busiek.
